Police Arrest DUI Suspect after Crash Involving 3 Vehicles at Arrow Boulevard and Alder Avenue

 
FONTANA, CA (January 2, 2023) – Police arrested Jesus Antonio Chavez for DUI after a three-vehicle accident in Fontana on December 26.
 
The accident happened around 6:53 p.m. at Arrow Boulevard and Alder Avenue. According to the Fontana Police Department, a 2016 Chevy Malibu, a 2011 Nissan Maxima and a 2019 Nissan Sentra collided at the intersection. The impact caused one of the cars to overturn.
 
Responding San Bernardino County Fire crews treated the 32-year-old suspect who was one of the drivers. Paramedics then transported him to an area hospital for further treatment.
 
Police later arrested Chavez at the hospital on suspicion of DUI.
 
It is unknown if there are other injuries sustained in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
