At Least 1 Killed in Car Crash on Highway 35 in San Mateo County

 
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA (January 2, 2023) — At least one person died in a car accident on Highway 35 near Alpine Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened around 11:15 p.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, a traffic collision occurred on Highway 35 South, just south of Alpine Road.
 
Authorities reported at least one fatality, and CHP officers issued a SigAlert at 11:52 p.m. Due to the investigation, drivers faced a road closure for all southbound lanes.
 
Reports do not have information on the cause of the accident or the victims’ names. Although, we will update this report with more information should we receive any.
