Four Hospitalized after Big Rig Accident on White Rock Road [Sacramento County, CA]

One Critically Injured in Rollover Big Rig Accident in Sacramento County

 
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (November 18, 2022) – Four people sustained injuries in a big rig accident on White Rock Road, Thursday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 17, at about 4:00 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, an eastbound large box truck lost control and crossed a landscaping median.
 
Then, the truck crashed into a minivan near Prairie City Road. The impact of the crash caused the big rig to overturn.
 
An air ambulance transported the driver of the minivan to a hospital. As per reports, she remains in critical condition.
 
Emergency crews also transported a toddler, who was a passenger in the minivan, to a hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.
 
Two people in the big rig were also hospitalized with moderate to major injuries.
 
Investigators ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
