Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Vehicle in Modesto

 
MODESTO, CA (November 21, 2023) — The authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash on McHenry Avenue in Modesto.
 
The Modesto police say they responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in the 3300 block of McHenry Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located a man in the roadway with severe injuries. Emergency medical personnel transported the pedestrian to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
 
The police said the driver who hit the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated in the investigation. They added that the driver showed no signs of drug or alcohol impairment.
