VISTA, CA (July 31, 2023) — Ezekiel Lopez faces charges in a head-on accident that killed an unborn child on Taylor Street near Vista Way.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened on July 15. For DUI-related reasons, 31-year-old Ezekiel Lopez lost control of his vehicle and veered into the oncoming lane. Subsequently, his Nissan Sentra struck a Mazda6 head-on.
 
Seven months pregnant Olivia Crain sitting in the backseat with her 2-year-old daughter lost her unborn baby, Luke. She was taken to a hospital where she learned about the loss.
