Juan Ramirez Killed in Scooter Crash on 10th Street near Elizabeth Street

 
SAN JOSE, CA (May 7, 2024) — Juan Ramirez died in a scooter accident on 10th Street near Elizabeth Street on May 2.
 
According to San Jose Police, the fatal scooter accident happened around 1:38 p.m. on April 30. For an unknown reason, 64-year-old Juan Bosques Ramirez crashed into a Tesla Model Y turning from Elizabeth Street onto South 10th Street. Subsequently, Ramirez fell off his Ninebot electric scooter onto the road. However, an oncoming 2008 Chevy Cobalt subsequently struck him.
 
Minutes later, paramedics responded and brought Ramirez to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Tragically, he passed away days later from his severe injuries.
 
As for the drivers, both of them stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities did not specify the leading cause of the crash. However, they will look into the details further.
