Head-On Crash on Joaquin Miller Road in Oakland Kills 25-Year-Old Woman

 
OAKLAND, CA (March 13, 2024) – Elizabeth Aguilar Sanchez De Jimenez was killed in a head-on accident in Oakland early Sunday morning on March 10.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 5:00 a.m. in the 3400 block of Joaquin Miller Road. According to the Oakland Police Department, a red Infiniti 2-door that was traveling southbound on Joaquin Miller Road when it struck a brown, 4-door Honda that was heading northbound.
 
De Jimenez was the driver of the Honda. She was rushed to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. She was a 25-year-old Oakland resident, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.
 
The occupants in the Infiniti were also injured in the crash.
 
It was unknown if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation. Police asked anyone with further information to contact the Oakland Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit at 510-777-8570.
