Woman Dies in Car, Big Rig Accident on 215 Freeway at 210 Freeway Junction [San Bernardino, CA]

1 Killed, 1 Injured in Semi-Truck Crash on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 10, 2024) — A woman died in a big rig accident on the 215 Freeway at the 210 Freeway junction.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol’s San Bernardino Office, the deadly two-vehicle crash happened just before 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a female driver traveling southbound at an unknown rate of speed suddenly came to a stop. Subsequently, a 2018 Freightliner box truck traveling behind her at about 65 mph struck her 2015 Nissan Versa, sending the Nissan into a guardrail.
 
Soon after, emergency personnel arrived and pronounced the Nissan driver deceased at the scene. Authorities have not released her name. Her female passenger was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
 
Reports did not specify information on the Freightliner driver or the cause of the accident. However, they will look into all possibilities. Those with information can call CHP at (909) 383-4247.
