1 Killed in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crash at Ramon Road in Cathedral City

 
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (May 10, 2024) — A woman died in a hit-and-run bicycle accident at Ramon Road and Landau Boulevard.
 
According to Cathedral City Police, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 11:10 p.m. Wednesday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a 31-year-old woman riding her bike. However, the driver departed the scene before Cathedral City Fire Department paramedics and police could arrive in time.
 
Minutes later, paramedics began assessing the victim; however, she succumbed to her injuries not long after. Officials did not release her name.
 
Following the crash, police combed the scene for clues identifying the vehicle or suspect involved. However, they have not confirmed anything concrete at this time.
