Alyssa Hardin Fatally Struck by Driver on 101 Freeway near Vermont Avenue

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 2, 2023) Alyssa Hardin died Wednesday after being hit by a car on the 101 Freeway near Vermont Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck 33-year-old Hardin, a homeless woman, on the southbound side of the freeway.
 
Moments later, paramedics and officers arrived at the scene and closed the southbound side at Vermont Avenue to investigate before reopening it around 7:30 a.m. Details surrounding the driver or what led to the accident were unavailable. However, authorities will look into the crash further to identify the factors.
