RIALTO, CA (November 2, 2023) — A man died in a pedestrian accident near Cedar Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.
 
According to reports, the deadly pedestrian happened around 8:38 p.m. on October 29. For an unknown reason, a man walking near a raised center median, outside a crosswalk, stepped into the No. 1 southbound lane. Subsequently, a 57-year-old Rialto man driving a blue Toyota Camry struck him.
 
Moments later, the police arrived and questioned the driver, who remained cooperative. Meanwhile, paramedics took the victim to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he passed away. Officials have not released his name.
 
At this time, police do not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a factor in the accident. However, an investigation into the crash should confirm any specifics.
