Fiery Crash on Dougherty Road in Dublin Splits Car in Two, Kills 2 Brothers

 
DUBLIN, CA (June 25, 2023)Adam Rasheed and Khaleed Rasheed died in a fiery accident in Dublin Tuesday evening on June 20.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on on Dougherty Road near Fall Creek Road. According to the Dublin Police Department, a dark-colored BMW M3 carrying the brothers was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a tree and a light pole.
 
The impact caused the car to split into two and catch fire. The men inside both died at the scene.
 
Authorities said Adam, 25, was the one driving the BMW. Khaleed, 23, was the passenger. The brothers were San Ramon residents. Both attended Dougherty Valley High School, and Khaleed Rasheed was a member of the lacrosse team.
 
That stretch of Dougherty, near the Eaves apartment complex, is six lanes with a raised median; the speed limit is 45.
 
Dougherty Road was shut down as police investigated the cause of the crash.
