HANFORD, CA (January 10, 2022) — William Odam died in a pedestrian accident on 12th Avenue near Highway 198 on Thursday.
 
According to Hanford police officers, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 6:15 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, 79-year-old Odam began crossing the street westbound on 12th Avenue. As a result, a vehicle struck him just after a motorcyclist nearly hit him.
 
Odam suffered fatal wounds in the crash.
