Fatal Rollover Crash on Highway 247 in Lucerne Valley

 
LUCERNE VALLEY, CA (December 4, 2023) — One person died in a rollover big rig accident on Highway 247 near Santa Fe Fire Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle crash happened around 3:21 p.m. on December 2. Under unclear circumstances, a sedan collided with a semi-truck and overturned several times. Subsequently, the car came to a rest on the right-hand shoulder.
 
Soon after, San Bernardino County Fire Department responders rushed to the scene to find the overturned car and accessed the vehicle to find the deceased victim. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s name.
 
Information surrounding what led to the accident or the condition of the semi-truck driver was unavailable. However, we will update this report once we receive more information.
