Fiery Head-On Crash on Pearblossom Highway in Pinon Hills Involves Pickup Truck and Semi Truck

 
PINON HILLS, CA (August 21, 2023) – One person died and two others were injured after a fiery head-on accident on Pearblossom Highway west of Pinon Hills.
 
The fatal accident happened Monday morning around 10:40 a.m. Monday on August 14. According to the California Highway Patrol, a westbound truck and eastbound semi truck collided head-on, causing both vehicles to be engulfed in flames.
 
As a result, the driver of the pickup truck died at the scene. The sheriff’s coroner’s office withheld their identity at this time.
 
The driver and passenger in the semi truck were able to exit from the burning vehicle. An air ambulance took them to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
The CHP Antelope Valley Office is handling the investigation.
