Police Arrest DUI Hit-and-Run Suspect after Crashing SUV into Chevron Gas Station in Cajon Pass

 
CAJON PASS, CA (January 26, 2023) – Police arrested Kevin Williams for DUI after crashing his SUV into Chevron gas station in Cajon Pass and fleeing the scene.
 
The crash happened around 10:08 p.m. on January 21 at 3260 Wagon Train Road, near the 15 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 33-year-old suspect from Victorville was driving a 2021 Ford Explorer when he drove his vehicle into the front of the business. He then struck a juvenile that stood inside, and fled the scene in his vehicle.
 
Responding paramedics took the victim to a local hospital with minor injuries.
 
Deputies later located the suspect and his vehicle on the north bound shoulder of the freeway.
 
Williams displayed signs and symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. Police arrested him for felony hit and run, causing injury, and suspicion of DUI. They booked him at the Central Detention Center at $40,000 bail.
