Frederick Ibarra Jr. Killed in Fiery Two-Vehicle Accident on 10 Freeway [West Covina, CA]

Early Morning Fiery Crash Involving Two Vehicles in West Covina Kills 50-Year-Old Man

 
WEST COVINA, CA (January 26, 2023) – Frederick Ibarra Jr. was killed in a fiery two-vehicle accident in West Covina early Wednesday morning on January 25.
 
The accident happened around 2:16 a.m. on westbound 10 Freeway at Pacific Avenue. According to the CHP, a big rig and a white Honda collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused the Honda to catch fire.
 
When officers arrived, they found the Honda near the center divider fully engulfed in flames.
 
Ibarra was in the burning Honda and died at the scene. He was 50 years old, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
Several freeway lanes were closed while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash.
