1 Person Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Valley West Boulevard in Arcata

 
ARCATA, CA (October 27, 2022) — One person died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Valley West Boulevard near Giuntoli Lane.
 
According to reports, Arcata police officers received a 911 call about a person lying down in the 5000 block of Valley West Boulevard. Upon responding, Arcata Police and Arcata Fire District professionals found an injured victim on the road who appeared to have injuries consistent with that of being hit by a car.
 
Soon after, Arcata paramedics transported the victim to St Joseph’s Hospital where the individual died.
 
As of now, Arcata police officers are actively investigating this as a felony hit-and-run. If anyone has seen this accident, please call the department at 707-822-2426.
