Fatal Electric Bicycle Accident on Foothill Boulevard near Pacific Electric Trail in Fontana

 
FONTANA, CA (August 24, 2022) – A man was killed in an electric bicycle accident on Foothill Boulevard on Sunday evening.
 
According to the Fontana Police Department, the incident happened on August 21, at about 7:52 p.m. Witnesses claim that the bicyclist hit a raised curb in the area of Foothill Boulevard and the Pacific Electric Trail.
 
Then, the bicycle crashed into the south wall of the PET bridge near Almeria Avenue.
 
Responders found the victim with no pulse and suffering from serious head trauma. Emergency crews administered CPR before transporting the man to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, where he later died.
 
Authorities withheld the name of the victim at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Fontana police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
