Woman Hospitalized in E-Bike Crash on Basswood Avenue in Carlsbad

 
CARLSBAD, CA (August 9, 2022) — A woman was injured in an e-bike accident on Basswood Avenue at Valley Street on Sunday.
 
According to the Carlsbad police, the bicycle accident happened around 6:00 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a 42-year-old woman driving a Toyota 4Runner collided with an e-bike, occupied by a 35-year-old woman and her 16-month-old child.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded to the scene and brought the seriously injured bicyclist to a hospital for treatment and her child to the hospital as a precaution. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
