Michael Ramey Killed in Pedestrian Accident near Lockeford Street and Sacramento Street

 
LODI, CA (January 17, 2022) – Authorities identified 64-year-old Michael Ramey of Lodi as the man killed in a pedestrian accident in Lodi on Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner and Coroner, the incident happened on January 5 at about 1:30 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a train hit the victim near Lockeford Street and Sacramento Street.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
It is unknown whether other injuries were sustained in the incident.
 
As per reports, responders had to close Lockeford Street between Sacramento Street and Main Street to make way for an investigation.
 
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officials will release additional information once it becomes available.
