Motorcycle Rider Killed in Accident on Balboa Avenue in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 1, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle accident in the 5900 block of Balboa Avenue on October 29.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly before 4:00 PM. Based on an initial report, a 64-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet Malibu westbound on Balboa prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she made a left turn into a shopping center. At the same time, the victim turned his Yamaha R6 motorcycle eastbound on Balboa. Subsequently, he struck the Chevy Malibu in the right-side front door.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist died at the scene. Officials only identified him as a 26-year-old man. The Malibu driver was not hurt.
 
At this point, the San Diego Police Department is still investigating the incident. Also, no further details were immediately available.
