Maria Gomez, Evelyn Hernandez Survive Fatal Accident on Santa Fe Avenue at Leedom Road in Stanislaus County

 
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (November 1, 2021) – Police identified Maria Gomez and Evelyn Hernandez as the motorists involved in a fatal motorcycle accident on Santa Fe Avenue on October 31.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Leedom Road around 2:35 PM. Based on an initial report, a 2007 Harley-Davidson was southbound on Santa Fe prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the driver tried to pass other motorists. Then, he reentered the southbound lane and struck the rear of a 2015 Infiniti sedan, driven by 27-year-old Gomez of Modesto.
 
As a result, the impact ejected the rider onto the shoulder of the road. The rider died in the incident. Officials only identified the victim as a 30-year-old Modesto man.
 
Gomez and Hernandez, a 5-year-old passenger, were not hurt.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. Also, no other details are available.
