Man Hospitalized Following San Diego Crash at Laurel Street and Fairmount Avenue

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 5, 2021) — A man sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash at Laurel Street and Fairmount Avenue in San Diego Saturday night.
 
According to the San Diego police, they learned of the incident at about 7:17 p.m. Reports indicated that a motorcycle collided with a car at the intersection of Laurel and Fairmount.
 
An initial investigation showed that a 67-year-old woman was operating a 2012 Altima. When she turned onto southbound Fairmont Avenue, she went directly into the path of a Honda CRF250R motorcycle. As a result, the motorcycle crashed into the car’s driver’s side door.
 
Officials said the motorcycle rider, an 18-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries, including multiple fractures and internal injuries. Paramedics transported him to the hospital. Meanwhile, the woman driving the car did not report any injury at the scene.
