Pedestrian Danielle Yates Struck, Killed in Hollywood Hills Accident

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 4, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 101 on September 30.
 
Authorities identified the pedestrian as 32-year-old Danielle Yates, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and the California Highway Patrol. Her city of residence is not known.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened north of Cahuenga Boulevard at approximately 2:12 AM. Based on an initial report, the victim walked on the highway at the time of the accident.
 
As a result, Yates died at the scene.
 
The motorist, whose name is unknown to the public, remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, the CHP reported. The collision prompted the closure of the highway for several hours.
 
CHP did not release additional information at this time. In addition, the circumstances of the death are under investigation.
