Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident on Del Paso Boulevard in Sacramento

 
LAMONT, CA (February 16, 2021) – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run accident on Del Paso Boulevard early Thursday morning.
 
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the accident happened around 1:30 a.m. near Globe Avenue.
 
Police said the male pedestrian was already dead when officers arrived.
 
At this time, police have no identifying information for the vehicle or driver involved.
 
Crews closed Del Paso Boulevard near the Globe Light Rail station in both directions while they worked on the scene.
 
Sacramento Regional Transit said there is a service disruption on the Blue Line due to blocked tracks in the area. A bus bridge is in place at Alkali Flat and Swanston light rail stations.
 
An investigation into this hit-and-run accident is ongoing.
