LAMONT, CA (February 16, 2021) – One person died in a hit-and-run accident on Highway 184 south of Di Giorgio Road early Tuesday morning.
 
The California Highway Patrol believed the accident happened before 2:45 a.m. The pedestrian was only located at around 6:40 a.m. by passersby.
 
Officers determined the pedestrian was pulling a metal dolly loaded with personal belongings when a vehicle struck him. The driver did not stop to render aid after the crash.
 
The pedestrian died at the scene.
