Adan Salazar Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Ramon Road near Gene Autry Trail [Palm Springs, CA]

Adan Salazar Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Ramon Road in Palm Springs

 
PALM SPRINGS, CA (February 4, 2021) – Police identified Adan Martinez Salazar as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on Ramon Road on January 29.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened between Gene Autry Trail and San Luis Rey around 11:20 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was crossing Ramon at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, an eastbound sedan struck him.
 
Emergency crews arrived and transported him to Desert Regional Medical Center. Later on, the Riverside County Coroner’s office confirmed that the patient succumbed to his injuries. They identified him as 69-year-old Salazar of Palm Springs.
 
Police confirmed that he was not in a crosswalk during the accident. The driver of the car pulled over and cooperated with investigators.
 
At this time, Palm Springs police are still investigating the case. Officials do not suspect drugs and alcohol to be factors in the incident.
