Deadly Broadside Accident on Florin Road in Sacramento County

 
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (February 4, 2021) – A woman died after a broadside accident at Florin Road and Bradshaw Road Sunday evening.
 
According to the CHP, the rollover accident happened just before 10:30 p.m. at the intersection, just to the north of the town of Vineyard.
 
CHP officials said the 32-year-old Wilton woman was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla west on Florin Road. At the same time, a 37-year-old Sacramento man was heading south on Bradshaw Road in a 2012 Toyota Tundra.
 
Witnesses told CHP that the woman ran a red light at the intersection and was broadsided on the passenger side by the Tundra.
 
The impact pushed the Corolla into a lane on Bradshaw Road. The Tundra overturned at least once, coming to a stop on the driver’s side in a field.
 
First responders pronounced the woman in the Corolla dead at the scene. Investigators said she was not wearing her seatbelt.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Tundra only sustained minor injuries.
 
CHP officials believe drugs or alcohol played a role in this rollover accident.
