Wrong-Way Driver Dies after Broadsided by Other Vehicle on 60 Freeway in Ontario

 
ONTARIO, CA (February 23, 2023) – A wrong-way driver was killed in a broadside crash along the 60 Freeway in Ontario early Tuesday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:05 a.m. on February 21, at Grove Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver entered the westbound side of the highway in the opposite direction. He then tried to turn around on the freeway and was broadsided by another vehicle.
 
As a result, the wrong-way driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
It is unknown if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.
 
No other information available at this time. CHP officials are still investigating whether alcohol or drugs played a factor in the accident.
