LA VERNE, CA (April 30, 2024) — A suspect was arrested following a police chase rollover accident at Barranca Avenue and Garvey Avenue.
 
According to the La Verne Police Department, the chase happened around 4:00 p.m. Tuesday. Upon seeing a stolen vehicle, officers tried to pull over the driver, but the motorist refused. Subsequently, a pursuit unfolded as the driver continued westbound on the 10 Freeway where a female passenger tried to leap out of the car. Fortunately, the driver slowed down and let the woman run away.
 
From there, the suspect exited the 10 Freeway in West Covina before blowing through a red traffic light and crashing into an SUV. Due to the impact, the stolen car rolled over.
 
Following the crash, police eventually arrested the suspect and held them for felony evading, domestic violence and false imprisonment.
