Woman, Man Injured in Car Crash with Tree on Black Mountain Road

 
MIRA MESA, CA (January 4, 2022) — A woman and a man were injured in a car accident with a tree on Black Mountain Road near Capricorn Way on Thursday morning.
 
According to the San Diego Police, the single-car crash happened around 11:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 67-year-old woman driving a northbound Mercedes-Benz on Black Mountain Road swerved to the left. Subsequently, the Mercedes-Benz struck a nearby tree, causing major injuries to the female driver and her 73-year-old male passenger.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and brought both victims to a hospital with major injuries.
 
At this time, officers have no information on what led to the accident. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm the details.
