1 Person Killed in Richmond Pedestrian Accident on Hilltop Drive On-Ramp

 
RICHMOND, CA (January 4, 2022) — One person died in a pedestrian crash on the Hilltop Drive on-ramp to the 80 Freeway on Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in an unknown make and model struck a pedestrian on the Hilltop Drive on-ramp to the westbound 80 Freeway.
 
Soon after, officials and paramedics responded, but the victim succumbed to his or her injuries.
 
At this time, police have not released information on the circumstances and ultimate cause of the accident. Although, any witnesses with information on this deadly pedestrian should contact the San Jose police department.
