2 Injured in 2-Car DUI Crash on Highway 67 in Poway

 
POWAY, CA (March 6, 2023) — A woman and a man suffered minor to life-threatening injuries in a 2-car DUI accident on Highway 67 near Elliot Lane.
 
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the two-car crash happened around 11:12 p.m. Saturday. For DUI-related reasons, a 26-year-old woman in a 2008 Mercedes-Benz crossed from the southbound lanes to an embankment along the northbound side. Subsequently, the Mercedes rolled back down onto the northbound roadway, where it landed on a 2017 Volkswagen GTI.
 
Shortly after, paramedics arrived and transported the woman to Sharp Memorial hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 27-year-old Volkswagen driver suffered minor injuries and was brought to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.
