Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 5 Freeway at Downing Avenue

 
STOCKTON, CA (March 28, 2021) – A woman was hit and killed by a car on 5 Freeway at Downing Avenue in Stockton.
 
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened around 7:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27.
 
The female pedestrian attempted to walk across the freeway when a car traveling northbound struck her, according to the CHP. As a result, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the vehicle pulled over and cooperated with authorities.
 
Drugs or alcohol are not considered factors in the crash. CHP officials are still investigating the accident to determine the liability.
