Authorities Seek Hit-and-Run Suspect after Fatally Striking Pedestrian on Cerritos Avenue in Stanton

 
STANTON, CA (March 7, 2022) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash at Cerritos Avenue and Dale Street in Stanton on Friday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:45 p.m. on March 4. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the woman was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection when a vehicle struck her. The driver then fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
 
Authorities only identified the victim as a 68-year-old Stanton resident.
 
The vehicle was described as small and possibly dark green in color.
