Bicyclist Dies in Early Morning Hit-and-Run on White Lane in South Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 8, 2022) – A woman died in a bicycle hit-and-run on White Lane in south Bakersfield, early Monday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 3:00 a.m. on March 7 at Union Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was riding her bike in the area when a vehicle struck her.
 
After hitting her, the vehicle took off in an unknown direction, according to CHP.
 
First responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
 
At this time, there is currently no suspect information. An investigation is underway. Officials asked witnesses to call CHP Bakersfield at 661-396-6600.
