Pedestrian Sustains Injuries after Hit by MTS Bus on El Cajon Boulevard in Normal Heights

 
NORMAL HEIGHTS, CA (February 21, 2023) – A woman was injured in a pedestrian accident on El Cajon Boulevard in the Normal Heights neighborhood Thursday evening on February 16.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the 44-year-old female pedestrian was walking northbound across the westbound lanes of 3900 El Cajon Boulevard when she stepped in front of an MTS bus shortly before 8:30 p.m.
 
The bus, driven by a 66-year-old man, was unable to stop in time and struck the woman.
 
As a result, the woman sustained an open fracture to her lower left leg.
 
SDPD does not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. They asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
