Multi-Car Accident on Rancho Road in Redding Leaves One Driver with Neck Fracture

 
REDDING, CA (March 20, 2024) – A woman was hospitalized in a multi-car accident at Rancho Road and Sheena Lane in Redding on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 4:00 p.m. on March 19. According to the Redding Police Department, a Redding Electrical Utility bucket-style truck rear-ended a 2005 Ford Mustang, pushing it into the westbound lane of Rancho Road.
 
A 2012 Chevrolet Equinox then hit the Mustang in the westbound lane.
 
As a result of the crash, the 69-year-old Redding woman who was driving the Mustang suffered a fracture in her neck. Paramedics took her to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Everyone else involved in the crash only sustained minor injuries.
 
Crews closed Rancho Road for about an hour and a half while they worked on the scene.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
