Woman Struck, Killed by Driver on Watt Avenue in North Highlands

 
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (November 28, 2022) — A woman was hit and killed by a car on Watt Avenue near Winona Way.
 
According to reports, the fatal pedestrian accident happened Wednesday night around 5:41 p.m. For unknown reasons, a man driving a van northbound on Watt Avenue struck a woman crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk.
 
As a result of the crash, the woman died from her injuries. Authorities have not released her name pending notification of next of kin. Following the incident, the driver of the van stayed for police investigations. Although police have ruled out impairment as a source of the crash, an investigation remains to identify the liabilities and other details.
