Woman and Dog Die in 2-Car Crash at San Joaquin Hills Road in Newport Beach
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (June 14, 2022) — A woman and a dog died in a car accident at San Joaquin Hills Road and Newport Ridge Drive on Sunday.
According to Newport Beach Police Lt. Michael Schiavi, the fatal two-vehicle accident happened around 8:05 p.m. For unknown reasons, two cars crashed at the intersection, causing one car to rupture in flames.
In the wake of the crash, a woman and a dog died from their injuries. Upon responding, paramedics brought two juveniles in the other car with major injuries to a nearby trauma center for treatment.
At this time, the Newport Beach Police’s Major Accident Investigation Team has much to investigate in this accident. Although, if any witnesses have details, please call the Newport Beach Police.
