Donna Wildrick Dies in 2-Car Crash in Newport Beach

 
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (June 15, 2022) — A woman and her dog died in a car accident at San Joaquin Hills Road and Newport Ridge Drive on Sunday.
 
The Orange County Medical Examiner and Coroner identified the deceased as 60-year-old Newport Coast resident Donna Wildrick.
 
According to Newport Beach Police Lt. Michael Schiavi, the fatal two-vehicle accident happened around 8:05 p.m. Wildrick was driving near the intersection when it collided with another car.
 
One of the cars became engulfed in flames, but the Newport Beach Police Department did not say if it belonged to Wildrick.
 
Wildrick was pronounced dead at the scene. A dog reportedly belonging to the woman died in the collision, as well.
 
Upon responding, paramedics brought two children in the other car with major injuries to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
Police reported the cars involved were a BMW and Tesla, but could not say which one Wildrick was driving.
 
At this time, the Newport Beach Police’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating in the accident. If any witnesses have details, please call the Newport Beach Police.
