SAN DIEGO, CA (October 21, 2021) – A woman and a 9-year-old girl sustained injuries in a car accident on Orchard Avenue, Monday evening.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on October 18, at about 7:30 p.m. A vehicle reportedly went off a cliff and landed on a pile of rocks, narrowly avoiding plunging into the Pacific Ocean.
 
The impact of the crash caused the girl to lose consciousness. Emergency crews transported the girl to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, including a cut to her head. Meanwhile, the woman did not need hospitalization.
 
The driver claimed that the brakes stopped working prior to the accident. San Diego police continue to investigate the crash.
