61-Year-Old Man Suffers Major Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Merced, Vincent Munoz Arrested

 
MERCED, CA (April 28, 2021) – Vincent Munoz was arrested after a pedestrian hit-and-run in Merced Sunday last week.
 
On April 18, Merced Police Officers responded to the area of Martin Luther Way and West 12th Street for reports of a collision involving a pedestrian.
 
Authorities said the 30-year-old suspect was driving a white 2009 GMC Sierra when he struck a 61-year-old man. He then fled the scene without rendering aid, leaving the victim with major injuries.
 
Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
On April 21, officer conducted a follow-up investigation and was able to locate the suspect’s vehicle. Police arrested Munoz for felony hit-and-run.
