Street Racing Accident on 91 Freeway in Compton Kills Driver and Passenger
COMPTON, CA (May 2, 2022) – Two people were killed in a traffic accident on 91 Freeway in Compton, early Saturday morning.
The accident happened around 12:40 a.m. on April 30, at Wilmington Boulevard west of Acacia Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victims were traveling in a group of illegal street racers when a Honda struck the left side of a Toyota 4 Runner.
As a result, it sent the Toyota into the right dirt shoulder, where it struck a pole.
As a result, the 24-year-old male driver of the Toyota from Huntington Beach died at the scene. His 18-year-old female passenger from El Monte was also killed.
The driver of the Honda fled the scene.
