DUI Crash on Mankas Corner Road Kills 2 Fairfield Residents

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (October 10, 2022) – Two people were killed in a DUI accident on Mankas Corner Road in Fairfield on Wednesday evening, October 5.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:40 p.m. just south of Ledgewood Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Hyundai left the roadway and struck a power pole.
 
As a result, both the driver and passenger died at the scene. Authorities only described them as Fairfield residents.
 
The CHP said alcohol is considered to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
