Police Arrest DUI Hit-and-Run Suspect after Crash on Creston Road in Paso Robless Injuring Two People

 
PASO ROBLES, CA (January 25, 2024) – Two people were injured in a DUI hit-and-run crash at Creston Road and Cedarwood Drive in Paso Robles on Monday evening.
 
According to the Paso Robles Police Department, the crash happened around 9:43 p.m. on January 22. When officers arrived, they found two injured people.
 
The suspect vehicle fled the scene after the crash, but was pulled over by one of the responding police units.
 
Officers identified the driver as 47-year-old Nicacio Antonio Mendoza of Paso Robles. They determined that Mendoza was intoxicated and arrested him for felony DUI and felony hit and run.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the two patients to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
As of Tuesday morning, Mendoza was still in custody at the San Luis Obispo County Jail, with bail set at $100,000.
