Solo Crash on College Grove Drive in Oak Park Leaves 2 Injured, 1 Passenger Flees

 
OAK PARK, CA (October 18, 2022) – Two people were injured in a car accident on College Grove Drive in the Oak Park area of San Diego on Saturday afternoon.
 
Around 5:00 p.m. on October 15, officers responded to the 5800 block of College Grove Drive after receiving a report of a traffic collision involving a stolen charcoal gray 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Police said the female driver of the pickup veered to the right, struck the south curb and collided with a light standard.
 
As a result of the collision, the driver sustained an open fracture to the right ankle and internal bleeding. Her injuries are considered life-threatening.
 
A 39-year-old male passenger suffered a fracture to his right knee and a dislocated left hip.
 
A second passenger got out after the crash and ran away.
 
The San Diego Police Department is handling the investigation.
