EL MONTE, CA (October 18, 2022) — Authorities identified 86-year-old Robert Woo of El Monte as the man killed in a pedestrian accident.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on the westbound 10 Freeway at Cogswell Road at around 4:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17.
 
Reports said at least one vehicle struck Woo. There is no information yet on what kind of vehicle was involved or how the crash transpired.
 
The CHP issued a SigAlert. They temporarily closed westbound lanes 3 and 4 west of Durfee Avenue. Officials reopened the lanes at around 7:30 a.m.
