60-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Big Rig in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 5, 2024) – Terry Carter was hit and killed by a big rig at a Los Angeles intersection Saturday afternoon on March 2.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Vermont Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the big rig was turning west onto Hollywood Boulevard when it struck Carter.
 
Carter suffered fatal injuries from the impact and died at the scene. He was 60 years old and was homeless, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
 
The big rig driver stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
